About

Tess Healy is a glass and digital artist based in Toledo, OH whose functional work focuses on modern designs that play with overlapping color. Her style is heavily influenced by her background in animation, designing around layers, sculpting movement, and creating strong silhouettes. She credits her work as a love letter to practice and thoroughly enjoys pursuing two mediums that require constant repetition.

Tess was born in Cincinnati, OH and graduated with a BFA in Digital Arts from Bowling Green State University in 2017. She started working at Gathered Glassblowing Studio in downtown Toledo in 2016 and moved to the city after graduating. She has worked at multiple studios in the area including four years at the Toledo Museum of Art, three of them as the full-time Production artist where she led the GAPP residency program. Currently she is working at The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo as the Artomatic 419 & Events Manager, celebrating and supporting Toledo’s art and culture.
